I expect this will likely become the play-style for many players; and allows for a more personal experience seeking out food, reacting to threats, and simply looking at the world from the ground-level. This new feature effectively migrates the current play-style into a “management mode,” focused more on population level gameplay like nesting locations, territory, geography, inter-species relationships, etc… RoadmapThere is a development roadmap, you just can’t see it… Yet. But in the meantime, know that some of the major updates that live there you can look forward to include weather systems, enterable burrows and dens, Status effects such as sickness, shade, + terrain effects, more plants and other features like rocks, caves, etc, and aquatic overhaul, avian parts, inter-species relationships, and very important: Cataclysms. All of these features are slated for pre-v1, but post early access release, and will of course NOT be paid addons or any kind of DLC. - About Communicating with all of youThus far, I have been developing Adapt completely solo, with the exception of my constant biology questions to my genius wife, who is a computational ecologist. As a result, developing does take time, but my vision for the game can be completely uncompromised. Adapt is intended to be the evolution game we all want, and it takes a village as they say, or I guess a population in this case (har har science joke). So I’m going to be working hard to communicate regularly, honestly, and as directly as possible with Adapts community.
